Marlene Giuliano interviewed Pattie Mallette in early July of 2013.
Movie producer and New York best selling book author of, ‘No Where But Up’ and mother of superstar, Justin Bieber, Pattie joined us on a recent radio special of “Inside the Interview” which recently aired in the spring of 2014 on JOY 1250 AM Radio.
In her recent book, “Nowhere But Up – Teen Edition”, Ms. Mallette spoke about her life as a victim of child abuse, living as a teenage mother in poverty. “Not having my Dad around really affected my self–worth as I wasn’t ever told I was loved or felt that I was valued. There were several incidents since the time I was five to ten years of age taking place where I was molested by the same person for those years and consequently, I had to fight for my healing and surround myself with the right people…and my faith helped”.
Pattie is the film producer of the film, “Crescendo”, a movie on teenage pregnancy and homes for unwed mothers. “We’ve been using this film to raise money for homes for unwed mothers.” She is also the CEO of Round Two Foundation. “Every few months we are dealing with a different organization that we raise money for through Round Two Foundation and right now we are raising money for people that need support in counseling that cannot afford it”.
