“Elvis Precious Memories Of You”
In 1997, Marlene Giuliano had featured guest and book author; Donna Presley-Early (Elvis’s first cousin) on her radio show. The following day, while reflecting on the interview and driving in her car, she heard a quiet voice speak in her mind, “Ask Donna if you can write a song for her to sing.” She had not written a song before and Donna was about to launch a singing career at the time. On the prompting of God’s voice, the song was born called; “Elvis Precious Memories of You”. Later, it was recorded by Vivian Paiano and Donna Presley- Early. It was produced at Genesis Studios in Mississauga, Ontario.
In 1999 when the demo song was completed, Donna and her husband Buddy held back tears while listening to the song for the first time. Since that time, that has been the reaction the song invokes. Whether presented in large venues like Hamilton Place Theatre or in smaller venues, the song has also been sung at Graceland tribute ceremonies and at the Elvis Collingwood Festival in 1999 and 2005. Also in 1999, Nancy Toran Harbin recorded a gospel version of the song and called it; “Jesus” (which was featured on many media outlets).
In 2005 (while waiting in a bank line up), Marlene began a conversation with Danny “Boy” Squire, an Elvis Tribute Artist. When he discovered that she had composed a song about Elvis, he wanted to hear it. Later he made an appointment to come to AM 740 Radio studios (where “Inside the Interview” was produced) to listen to the song. Mr. Squire requested to record the song in Nashville with the Elvis’s
original background singers including Grammy Award winners; “The Jordonaires” and all of Elvis’s musicians from the past. Later that year, the recording was completed.
Since that time, the song has been featured on some radio stations playlists including, AM 740 Radio and in a new movie in production with the working title of “Sentimentally Elvis” and sung by Mr. Squire. Look for the movies upcoming release for television.

Dorian Baxter aka, Elvis Prestley has been a past interview guest on our radio programs over the years and a friend for many years. Although Dorian is an Anglican minister and the head of an Elvis inspired church in New Market, ON, he is one of the most charismatic performers I have ever met. He has a great love of people and The Lord.
Dorian has traveled the world performing Elvis songs. Here we are in Orillia, ON at the “Rock and Roll Tribute” weekend backstage before he takes the stage to perform the song I wrote, “Elvis Precious Memories of You”.
